Stained Teeth can Make you Look Older

Did you know that stained teeth can age you without you even realizing it? We all experience staining as a natural occurrence, but that does not mean we need to live with it. Whether your stained teeth are a result of bad habits, poor oral hygiene, or medication, there are ways to help you gain your smile back once again.
Teeth Whitening - The most basic way to whiten a smile is with professional teeth whitening. This procedure is done in the office and takes less than one hour. We use a whitening gel that helps to "scrub away" extrinsic stains. This method will not work for everyone, but if your stains are a result of bad diet or dental habits, it may work.
Dental Veneers - When teeth whitening does not work, dental veneers are a great choice. They are little porcelain sheets that lay right over your existing enamel after a small portion of our enamel is removed. They are simple to apply and do not require a recovery period. As an added benefit, they can help with chipped or crooked teeth as well.
Dental Bonding - If you are worried about losing any portion of your enamel as is necessary with dental veneers, dental bonding can help brighten your smile. This resin material is made to match the color of your existing teeth and is applied right over the enamel without removing any of the surface.
Bonding is not as strong as the other options, however, so it should only use be used on the very front teeth that do not undergo a lot of pressure.
