Teeth Whitening

 Teeth Whitening is our San Diego office's, most asked about cosmetic procedure. This form of bleaching, is a simple, non-invasive treatment. It will change the color of your natural tooth enamel, brighten it and clean away surface stains.
If you are looking to whiten and brighten your teeth, ask us how we can help. We may suggest changing old dental fillings that have become stained, we may talk about replacing an old crown, and we can definitely advise you of both in office and at home treatments for whitening.
Of course, Teeth whitening is not permanent. We recommend yearly touch-ups especially if you intake common staining vices such as smoking and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine.

What In-Office Teeth Whitening Involves
Have you looked at over the counter products and are not sure what to get? Afraid of wasting your money? We can help. Ask our Dentists, Dr. Bierman, Dr. Ma, and Dr. Summerhays, what they know about Whitening products. We offer services right in our dental office with two visits. Your first appointment will be to take impressions (molds) of your teeth which will then be fabricated into custom, clear, plastic trays.
Your second appointment is to be properly fitted to the trays, and adjustments can be made. At home, you will wear these trays with our whitening solution either twice a day for 30 minutes or overnight for a couple of weeks, whatever is more comfortable for you.
It is normal to experience tooth sensitivity during the time you are whitening your teeth, but it will subside shortly after you have stopped bleaching.
